Can I add files after the first selection?

Yes. Selecting more files appends them to the list rather than replacing it, so you can build up a long merge from several folders. Every file can be moved up or down, or removed, before you merge.

Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can merge?

There is no fixed count, but the practical limit is memory: the tool holds every page of every source file at once. A hundred small two-page files are fine; twenty 40MB scans are not. The 100MB cap applies to each individual file.

Are bookmarks, links and form fields preserved?

Page content, images and text are preserved exactly. Document-level bookmarks (the outline in the sidebar) are not carried across, because they belong to the source document rather than to any individual page. Links between pages of the same source file may also stop working. If a navigable outline matters, merge with a desktop application instead.

Can I merge a password-protected PDF?

Not directly — an encrypted file has to be unlocked before its pages can be read. Run it through the Unlock PDF tool first if you know the password, then merge the result.

Are watermarks or logos added to the merged file?

Never. The output contains your pages and nothing else.
